Enjoy a relaxing morning, being creative painting on silk. First you will choose a design, then outline it on silk using gutta. Choose your favourite colours and get painting. Hilary will give you step by step instructions, so this is ideal for everyone. No drawing skills are needed. When your painting has dried, Hilary will mount it on a 30x40cm canvas so you can take it home straight away and hang it in pride of place. The cost of this new, fun Scrapadoo workshop is £40 which includes all materials, home made cake, tea and coffee. Free parking and beautiful rural views are also included.

We love painting with hot wax, also called batik. You can either choose from a variety of designs or make up your own design. Hilary will show you how to transfer them to fabric. You will then learn how to apply the wax onto the design. The final stage is dyeing your fabric with a variety of colours. After it has dried, you will be shown how to remove some of the wax and then apply a second dye if you like, or use fabric paints to embellish your batik. All materials, refreshments and tuition are included in this fun and interesting no sew workshop. The cost is £40 for this 3 hour fun and creative workshop and is suitable for adults and teens.

This two hour workshop is suitable for all abilities. Beginner's can learn how to thread the sewing machine and make a cushion cover from a shirt. Others with more experience can work on a different project such as fabric pots, bunting or another project. Suitable for ages 9 plus. No sewing experience necessary. £30 for this two hour workshop where they can have fun and learn new skills.

In this new sewing workshop run by Hilary, you will learn the secrets of how to sew stretch fabrics using an ordinary sewing machine. You will then be brave and transform an old sweatshirt by cutting out parts of it and replacing it with different coloured fabrics. Please bring a sweatshirt or two with you so that you can experiment and banish your fear of stitching with stretch fabrics. The cost of this new workshop is £30, which includes refreshments, equipment and tuition.

Hilary will frame your work so you will go home with a unique finished piece of work in a beautiful deep frame. The cost is £35 which includes all materials, tuition, framing and refreshments. Payment is required in advance to secure your booking.

Do any new clothes you buy always need hems taking up? Bring your broken and unwearable clothes to this hand and machine sewing workshop and learn how to make them like new. Basic sewing machine skills are not essential, as you can hand sew your garments instead, however it is a slower process.
