Northwich Uncovered is a community archaeology project exploring the hidden history of Northwich and the surrounding area.
We bring archaeology out of museums and into the community, working with volunteers, local organisations and residents to discover, investigate and share the stories beneath our feet.
From Roman archaeology and local history to finds, research and future heritage projects, our aim is simple: to uncover Northwich’s past and make it accessible to the people who live here.
Our first community excavation has already uncovered some fascinating finds — and this is only the beginning.
