At The Make & Do Den holiday clubs, we provide children aged 5 to 12 with the opportunity to spend their holidays creating, exploring and making in a fun, welcoming and inspiring environment. Based in our purpose-built home studio in Northwich, each holiday club has a different creative theme, often inspired by ideas suggested by some of our young artists. From imaginative worlds and character design to exploring different art techniques, materials and creative challenges, every session is carefully planned to encourage curiosity, confidence and a love of making. The safety and wellbeing of the children is always our highest priority. I hold a full enhanced DBS check and am trained in paediatric first aid. Using my extensive experience as a qualified primary teacher, I create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable to explore their creativity. Once all children have arrived, the studio grounds are secured for the duration of the session, providing a safe and private space for everyone to enjoy. Our holiday clubs are structured much like a school day, with four creative sessions separated by a morning break and lunchtime, giving children a familiar routine while allowing plenty of time to relax, socialise and enjoy being creative. With small group sizes, children can experiment, develop new skills, make friends and take pride in their creations. Whether your child already loves art or is simply keen to try something new, The Make & Do Den holiday clubs offer a chance to switch off, get creative and enjoy the process of making.

The Make & Do Den is a welcoming creative studio in Northwich where imagination, confidence and creativity are nurtured through inspiring, hands-on art experiences for all ages.

Founded by myself, Anna, a qualified primary school teacher, mum and artist, The Make & Do Den offers creative opportunities for children, teenagers and adults. From the purpose-built home studio, we provide small after-school groups, one-to-one tuition, private sessions, holiday clubs for children aged 5 to 12, and private group workshops. We also bring creativity into the wider community through local events, crafting experiences and nationally by curriculum provision for the NHS.

Alongside studio sessions, I work with primary schools as an artist-in-residence, delivering bespoke workshops and providing curriculum consultation for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. With a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, a PGCE in Primary Education, classroom based teaching experience and a background in SEND education, I combine my artistic knowledge with a deep understanding of how people learn, grow and express themselves.

At the heart of The Make & Do Den is a belief that creativity is essential for wellbeing and development. Art helps children build confidence, problem-solving skills and independence, while giving teenagers and adults a valuable opportunity for self-expression, relaxation and supporting positive mental wellbeing.

Whether you are looking for a creative class, a unique workshop, a school project or a memorable making experience, The Make & Do Den is a place where everyone is encouraged to explore, create and discover their own creativity.

Travel

🚗 Arrival & Collection As we are based in a residential area, we kindly ask everyone to be considerate of our neighbours when arriving and leaving. Please don’t not block any driveways or park 2 abreast in the public turning circle 🚨 Please pull fully onto the driveway when dropping off and collecting your child allowing other parents to access the space behind you. ⏰ Children will be welcomed on the driveway between 9:30am and 9:45am. 🕰️ Children will be brought to the driveway for collection at 3:00pm. If you arrive after 9:45am, please walk through the gate on the left-hand side of the house and bring your child directly to the studio, where Anna or Kitty will be ready to welcome them. If you are running late for collection, please call or send a message as soon as possible. If a child has not been collected by 3:15pm they will be taken back into the studio. We understand that occasional delays can happen, but please let us know as soon as possible if you are running late. A late collection fee of £5 will apply for every 10 minutes (or part of 10 minutes) beyond 3:15pm. This helps cover the additional supervision required and ensures we can continue to provide a safe and supportive environment for all children.
