Scrapadoo Creative Workshops

Get that autumn feeling with this lovely new sewing workshop which is suitable for anyone who can use a sewing machine. Trace gold leaves onto fabric and then layer gold foil on the top. Quilt the pieces together and you have a lovely piece of autumnal fabric that would make a lovely cushion, bag or wall hanging. All equipment, fabric and tuition is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer. Refreshments are also provided.

Do you have a sewing machine that you want to tame? Or do you just want to learn to sew? Build up your confidence and skills on this two week beginner's workshop. You will will learn how to thread a sewing machine and gain confidence. We will go through the basics and give you loads of time to practice. When you feel confident it's time to follow the step by step instructions to make a cushion cover from an upcycled shirt in the week one. You will make some cute bunting in week two. All equipment, fabric and tuition is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer. Refreshments are also provided. There are only 5 places at each workshop which is held in a converted barn called The Bullpen in Moulton, mid Cheshire. It has stunning views over the Cheshire countryside.

They will make a bean bag, cute bunting or a cushion cover. More experienced sewers are welcome as everyone works at their own pace on their project. All materials, equipment and refreshments are provided for only £60 for the following 4 weeks 5.30-6.30pm. Monday 28 September, 5,12,19 October Suitable for ages 9 and over.

This practical new workshop is suitable for anyone with basic sewing skills. You will learn how to make your own crossover apron with straps at the back and handy patch pockets on the front. Please bring 2 metres of cotton to make your apron. All equipment, tuition and home made cake is included.

Celebrate autumn with this fabulous seasonal workshop to decorate your own unique willow wreath. Pick as many different decorations that you like to make your special autumn wreath. We have pine cones, fresh foliage, fabric pumpkins ( a little hand sewing is required), dried flowers, ribbons and more stuff that I can't think of right now. All materials and refreshments are included in this sociable workshop for only £35. The workshop is held in our rustic Bullpen studio with beautiful views over the Cheshire countryside.

If you are interested in making art, Dee can help with this simple 2 hour class. Dee gives clear step-by-step instructions to paint a gorgeous acrylic painting with a Christmas theme. Perfect for making into cards, or just hanging on your wall as a beautiful festive decoration. Perfect for beginners or experienced artists, this session will ignite your love of creativity. All tuition, paints, brushes and tea/coffee with homemade cake is provided. Please bring a canvas approximately 12" x10" (or you can buy one on the day for £2. The cost is £30 for one two hour workshop.

Enjoy a relaxing morning, being creative painting on silk. First you will choose a design, then outline it on silk using gutta. Choose your favourite colours and get painting. Hilary will give you step by step instructions, so this is ideal for everyone. No drawing skills are needed. When your painting has dried, Hilary will mount it on a 30x40cm canvas so you can take it home straight away and hang it in pride of place. The cost of this fun Scrapadoo workshop is £40 which includes all materials, home made cake, tea and coffee. Free parking and beautiful rural views are also included.

Choose some lovely christmassy designs from our stash, or bring your own to make 2 metres of festive bunting. Cake and refreshments are also included.

We love painting with hot wax, also called batik and this festive workshop will get your right in the mood for Christmas. You can either choose from a variety of designs or make up your own design. Hilary will show you how to transfer them to fabric. You will then learn how to apply the wax onto the design. The final stage is applying paint to your fabric before removing the wax. All materials, refreshments and tuition are included in this fun and interesting no sew workshop. The cost is £40 for this 3 hour fun and creative workshop and is suitable for adults and teens.
